Maraldia Willey was born in 1868 to William and Nancy Willey in Bountiful, Utah.
Emanuel's Immigration
Emanuel immigrated to Utah in 1881 at age 19, apparently traveling alone. On the ship from Liverpool to New York, he met William Wallace Willey, a returning missionary. Emanuel found work and lodging with Joseph Mabey, William's brother-in-law.
Later that year, Emanuel paid to help his parents join him in Utah.
While living with the Mabeys, Emanuel met their niece, Maraldia.
