Pages describing small geographical areas—typically something like a county. These pages are concerned with relevant historical information, landmarks, and resources for research.

Place pages may be categorized as locales, territories, or regions. Territories contain multiple locales, while regions contain multiple territories.

The modern name of the place is used; if, in the past, another name was used or political boundaries were different, the page describes how the modern area was referred to and affiliated historically. Aliases may exist for older names.

By convention, the name of a locale ends with a comma followed by the name of the enclosing territory. Aliases using a shorter name, or the name of a major city, may exist.
